I experienced yoga in the cooled down, picture-perfect outdoors last evening with a great group of college students who were members of the Indian American Association. I felt the irony of someone like me (a redhead from Pittsburgh, PA) teaching a group of people whose parents came from the country that gave birth to yoga. Many of them said they had never even tried it, and so here we were, in the big outdoor green space of Ohio State University’s Oval, practicing boat pose and all our warriors while campus life carried on around us. (Hula hoops, frisbees and squirt guns were the next couple of trees over from our group.)
It was a grand evening. All about life, and simply breathing it all in.
