At the nearby high school today to spend some time in yoga with a gym full of fantastic students.
I always find it so moving to look out at the faces of the kids who are coming into their own in this new world.
Mostly, they sit expressionless, somewhat unreadable. Some others don’t hide their boredom with wide yawns as they plop themselves down on the mat.
Then we sit and breathe–
a whole gym quiet and yet pulsing with teenage inhales and exhales–all one big entity of energy but re-directed now,
becoming balanced in the prayer of quiet.
This is the new world.
