Fall inward

Transition time.

Time to change up our yoga practice, too, with more grounding and warming poses such as cat stretches, cobra pose, and slower Sun Salutations.

Adding a little sesame oil to the skin will provide nourishing protection as we move into cooler temperatures.

Bring in the candle, too—pumpkin, farm stand apple, cinnamon, and reflect on your plans and goals for this rich time of year with an increasingly deeper meditation practice (maybe 15 to 30 minutes rather than 10!)

And according to ayurvedic principles, raw fruits need to be cooked and mixed with warming spices such as cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and ginger, with lightly steamed rather than raw vegetables added into our diets now.

Love to you this season!
